Pennine Lancashire LOC
Pennine Lancashire Local Optometric Committe is the organisation representing Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians in Pennine Lancashire.
The LOC is the statutory NHS body which represents the providers and performers of General Ophthalmic Services (GOS), as well as other local optometric services, in the area.
Our function is to liaise with NHS England, local area teams and Clinical Commissioning Groups and Sustainable Transformation Parternships (STP) on matters relating to eye care.
We also organise CET events and peer discussion events for optical professionals.
Pennine Lancashire LOC has close relationships with local public health organsations and the local medical committee with whom we work on new initiatives.
We are also associated with other LOC’s and form part of the Regional Optical Committee (ROC).
Meetings take place around five times a year. All optical professionals are welcome to attend.
Contact us if you would like to attend as an observer with a view to getting involved the LOC or in delivering extended primary care services
We strongly encourage contractors and performers in the Lancashire area to bring any concerns they may have to us.
Any queries or matters you would like to bring to our attention please contact Mr David Noblett.
