- M.P. for Rother Valley, Kevin Barron has agreed to visit a practice in his constituency to hear more about the community services available in Rother Valley, and the relationship the LOC has with the CCG.
- The visit should last a maximum of one hour and the general format will start with introductions, followed by a tour of the practice and explanation of the everyday equipment used and a discussion of any local issues
- If you would like to volunteer to host Kevin Barron in your practice please contact [email protected]. Please note the volunteer practice must be situated within the MP’s constituency. Your LOC is pleased to offer a c.e.t. accredited peer review session. The venue will be the Holiday Inn Hotel, Barnsley Road, Dodworth, Barnsley, S75 3JT, just off junction 37 of the M1.
The session will be on Tuesday 2nd June starting at 7.00pm. It offers 3 c.e.t. points and is anticipated to last around 2 hours. A buffet will be available from 6.15. After a considerable amount of hard work by Tan Hussain, a major step forward has been achieved in the Barnsley area, in the form of an enhanced services scheme which will combine P.E.A.R.S., cataract monitoring, ocular hypertension refinement, and paediatric screening. In the form of an additional services contract, the proposal, schedule and contract paperwork should filter out to Barnsley practices during December / January. More information will follow...
