Vision Care for Homeless People - Volunteers needed for London Mobile Service
We are starting a mobile service in London to visit day centres and hostels for homeless people. Around a third of homeless people have never had an eye test. By using a mobile service we can reach more people in need of eye care.
The mobile service is being set up by optometrist Chithra Dhanabalan, who was Service Organiser for Crisis at Christmas Opticians two years ago. She is gathering a Lead Team to get the project off the ground and oversee it going forward.
